Squire Management is a diversified multi-asset investment portfolio with a proven track record in generating consistent substantial alpha and steady cash flows with strict risk management rules and principles in place. Several strategies are used, each starting with thorough fundamental analysis to acquire solid understanding of the opportunity combined with technical analysis to identify optimum entry and exit timings.
Since its start in 2011, the portfolio has invested in a broad variety of asset classes going from deep value, growth, income, to commodities, and from cryptocurrencies to real estate. Based in Leuven, Belgium.
The main strategy of the portfolio consists in searching for price irrationalities across financial markets and ergo profiting from the adage "buy low, sell high" when uncommon events appear or in their aftermath. These events can be company specific (e.g., scandals, unexpected earnings) or macro-related (e.g., protectionism, country tax changes, or even a pandemic). Because they are uncommon, they create uncertainty which results in a tendency of the market to overreact.
After all, asset prices reflect emotions and psychology, and the associated herd instinct tends to create irrationalities in which investors lose themselves, discard any data whatsoever, and fail to reason on what the most plausible outcome will tend to be. Such irrationalities provide ideal risk-reward opportunities.
